I am currently working on a charcoal pencil drawing of hibiscus. Hibiscus are plentiful in Florida and the variety and colors that God created are practically endless.
When drawing or painting, we often delineate the edge of an object. In this way, the object, or “positive space” stands out from the background, or “negative space.” However, there are no actual lines defining objects in nature. What passes for line is the edge where two colours meet, and as colour was created by God, God created the edge of all creation.
